Rieslingfreak No. 3 Clare Valley riesling
A uniquely balanced wine that exhibits both richness and delicacy. The nose is richly seductive with aromas of candied lemon, yellow peach, toffee apple and fresh mango. The palate is intensely flavoured yet deceptively delicate; with zesty citrus-driven flavours of tangerine and grapefruit complemented by sweet stone fruit and rich tropical notes. The generous and lusciously succulent palate is deftly bound by a tight line of crisp natural acidity that carries through the long, zesty finish.
Rieslingfreak is the inspiration of John Hughes. The first vintage of Rieslingfreak was in 2009, with a single vineyard Clare Valley Riesling. Since then, the label has expanded to Eden Valley and Polish Hill River regions.
