Rich, dense and concentrated
The Ironscraper is a wine that suits its name. Deep crimson in colour its special personality is its length and grip – helped along with an almost imperceptible touch of Barossa Cabernet. We think it is an exciting wine that fleshes out our range, complementing the Marananga Shiraz and Lepus Shiraz.
We have fine-tuned a style which is less upfront than some other Barossa wines – more subtle and food friendly but still authentic Barossa with deep colour and concentration, richness and length.
Marananga, Barossa Valley
Our wines complement rather than fight with robust, full flavoured foods.
Displays all the hallmarks of classic Barossa Valley Shiraz. Deep colour, ample flavour and firm, finely structured tannin. To be enjoyed over the next 5 – 10 years.
They have the right amount of tannin and acid to “cut through” meats which have some fat content, such as aged beef. But they are also elegant enough not to dominate the subtle flavours of game – kangaroo, quail, rabbit…and of course hare.
