High Eden, Eden Valley, Barossa, Sth. Aust
Selected parcels of grapes are individually fermented and matured separately for 20-24 months in French barriques
The best barrels blended and held in bottle for another year before release.
A compelling bouquet and perfectly balanced long medium-bodied palate.
Dark berry fruits, cedary oak and supple tannins all contribute, but the fruit is the most important.
Patriarch Shiraz honours Mountadam’s founder and one of Australia’s great visionaries, David Wynn. This wine is off the oldest plantings at our High Eden estate, perched at an altitude of 500m on a unique east facing ledge overlooking the Eden Valley.
