Description
Polperro Talland Hill chardonnay
Aromas of citrus & stone-fruits, cheesecloth, baked chestnuts, a core fruit of citrus, peach, textured finishing with a wet pebble like minerality.
It’s a characterful Chardonnay though you get the feeling that it’s still sorting itself out. Hay and toast, swede cedar and grilled peach flavours strut boldly through the palate before fennel-like characters sweep through the finish. Texture plays a key role, as do honeysuckle notes, as does a certain tautness to the finish. It’s a Watch this Space for now but it’s quality is crystal. 94 Points – The Wine Front, Campbell Mattinson
Green fruits with hints of wet stone. Powerful mid-palate of orchard fruits with supple acid lines. It’s a sleeper wine, doesn’t leap out but lots going on and layers. Unfurls slowly but surely in the glass. 94 POINTS – The Real Review
